Fast 7 to open in 2015

Following a delay in the wake of star Paul Walker’s death last month, Universal Pictures has announced the new release date for Fast & Furious 7.

Fast & Furious 7 will now open on April 10 2015. The film had been earmarked for a July 11 2014 release however production was halted when Walked died on November 30 while returning in a car from a charity event outside Los Angeles.

Based on the wording of a statement issued by a spokesperson on December 23, it appears Walker will feature alongside his longtime franchise co-star Vin Diesel in some capacity.

James Wan directs and Neal H Moritz and Diesel return as producers.
